Chainsoo Recipe





 Serves 4, Time Taken 55 minutes


Ingredients


1 cup Urad Daal (Black Gram Lentil)
1 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
½ teaspoon Cumin Powder (Jeera)        
½ teaspoon Red Chili Powder
½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
¼ teaspoon Black Pepper (Kali Mirch)
2 teaspoon Refined Oil
2 cups Water
2 Dry Red Chili
Salt as per taste

How to make Chainsoo

Step 1

Heat the pan and dry roast the dal for few minutes till you can smell the aroma. Once the dal cools down, grind the roasted dal into a fine powder.

Step 2

Heat oil in the pan and roast the red chilies. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper and some water and fry for a minute. Add the powdered dal and water.

Step 3

Cook on medium flame, stirring occasionally till it thickens    .

Once ready garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
