Ingredients
½ kg chopped Meat with bones and fat (Chicken
or Mutton or Pork) for soup
½ kg chopped
boneless Meat (Chicken or Mutton or Pork)
For
vegetarian instead of meat, they can use fried mushroom and vegetable soup (carrot,
cabbage, beans, spring onions).

Noodles
2 finely
sliced Capsicums (Shimla Mirch)
2 finely
chopped Onions (Pyaaz)
2 chopped
Tomatoes (Tamatar)
1 ½ cups
chopped Beans
1 bunch
finely chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
3 finely chopped
Green Chilies
1 inch
finely chopped Ginger (Adarak)
4 cloves
finely chopped Garlic (Adarak)
2 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
2 teaspoon
Cumin Powder (Jeera)
2 teaspoon Chicken
Masala
1 teaspoon Red
Chili Powder
Salt as per
taste
Refined Oil
Soya Sauce
Vinegar
Water
How to make
Thukpa
Step 1
Boil water
in a pan and cook noodles in it till it becomes tender. Drain out the water and
set aside the boiled noodles.
Step 2
Add boneless
meat in a bowl and mix it with 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon cumin
powder, 1 teaspoon chicken masala, 1 teaspoon red chili powder and salt. Let it
marinate for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Heat oil in
a pan and fry the marinated meat till they turn a golden color and are properly cooked.
Set aside the fried meat.
Step 4
For the soup
take a cooker and add meat (that’s for the soup), water (as required), chopped green
chilies, turmeric powder, cumin powder, chicken masala, salt, chopped beans,
chopped coriander leaves, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped ginger and
chopped garlic. Pressure cook the mixture for 10 whistles.
Step 5
Once the
pressure is released from the cooker open the lid and add chopped capsicum in
the soup and simmer it till capsicums are tender.
Step 6
In big soup
bowls divide the noodles. Add the fried meat and then the soup with vegetables.
Provide vinegar,
soya sauce and salt for taste.
